Hi...

Hi everyone, I am from México and live in Monterrey, close to the border to Texas.

I have been reading a lot of interesting things on this site and I really love it. I have a small business from home, I bake salty pies for small reunions, gatherings, or any type of event, etc. and I am always looking for new ideas.

I love bread so I hit the jackpot when I found this wonderful site, and I have already learned quite a few things here.

Thank you for sharing your ideas, recipes, tips and techniques with all of us.

Greetings from Nexico...

As Audra says, this is a great site. Welcome!

What are "salty pies"?

I make different kinds like chicken for example, or tuna, ham and cheese, spinach, etc. I call them salty pies because they are not sweet like an apple pie for instance.

I will try to upload a picture later.

I see. What you call "salty" I think of as "savory". Thanks for letting me know.

Thanks Pamela and Bread Maiden for the information on "salty" and "savory", now I can call them correctly. I certainly will post the "dough" recipe for the pies and also some different stuffings "relleno". Where should I post the recipes? If you could give me advice on this.

I LOVE relleno's! I have difficulty finding the peppers here, so when I can I get a case box of them and go ahead and stuff them for the freezer. Nothin' like the whole house smelling like hot roasting chili pepper's for a few days.
