Hobart A200- leaking ?

Hello,

We are looking at purchasing an old Hobart A200 mixer. It appears that something is leaking out of the front cover in the pictures. Is this a common problem? A simple fix?

This can the be the multi purpose Nr. 2 grease running out. If the machine has not been serviced for a long time, the internal grease can become runny.  We just serviced a Kitchen Aid 5qt mixer that has not been used for several years. It looked as if oil has leaked form the mixer. The truth was that the old grease had just collapsed.

if you send me the picture, I can forward it to the tech guy who services out machines. He will know for sure.

This mixer will requiere a complete service. The goo outside the mixer probably si some grease. These mixers are very service friendly so they can be repaired almost indefinitely. I you get the mixer, have someone look a it, and throw in a coat of fresh paint.
