Which dough scraper for the Ankarsrum Assistent N24

I have an N24 model of the Ankarsrum Assistent that is missing its dough scraper so I’m trying to figure out which one to order. It appears that the diameter of the hole that is used to attach the scraper changed at some point which is why there are two versions. There is conflicting information on which will fit my N24:

PHG lists two scrapers, an old and a new. Here is what they say about the old version: “This scraper fits the N24 and lower-numbered models. A different scraper is available for model N25 and higher-numbered models.” - https://pleasanthillgrain.com/scraper-old-ankarsrum-mixer

This is at odds with the information provided on Ankarsrum’s site which states: “There are two different models of the dough knife. One that fits model N24 and later and one that fits older models.” - https://www.ankarsrum.com/en/products/dough-roll-dough-knife-and-spatula/

It appears the diameter of the stainless shaft varies between the 2 models. I got this from Pleasant Hills. “Electrolux Assistent mixers made in 2006 and earlier have a 10mm steel rod and require this "old style" scraper. ”

Maybe you could measure the hole diameter and call Pleasant Hill Grains. Their staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help.

The newer version has an 8mm hole for the scraper, and the older was the same size as the dough hook's hole (10mm?). If your scraper's hole is noticeably smaller than the hook's hole, you need the newer size.

Mine has the single hole in the pivoting arm that is used with either the scraper or the dough hook. When using the dough hook, the scraper is moved from the hole in the arm to the hole in the dough hook. Thus, it looks like I need the (older) 10 mm shaft scraper.

Check with Ashley McCord with Ankarsrum USA: support@ankarsrumoriginalusa.com. She's solid. Also knows a guy in NJ who services these things, he has older parts. I got a new body for my Magic Mill when I damaged mine in a move and tried some ill-advised home repairs ....

Hello, Has anyone tried grinding down the new 10mm to fit the old 8mm socket?

I think I got it backwards.  So it could be done by cutting a section off and tig welding on another piece that would match the socket. The old scraper is all but impossible to find except for one store that wanted way too much for it.  Pleasant Hill had the scraper, roller and spatula on sale for $36 so I bought 2 as we have 4 of the older models in the family,

Want do you think about drilling out the scraper hole on the machine to accommodate the larger shaft?

CORRECTION - “ It appears the diameter of the stainless shaft varies between the 2 models. I got this from Pleasant Hills. “Electrolux Assistent mixers made in 2006 and earlier have a 10mm steel rod and require this "old style" scraper.“”

You could try wrapping the shaft with string of a suitable size and then coating with epoxy.
