Some time ago, a generous FL sent me The Village Baker by Joe Ortiz for the price of shipping. I have finished reading it and am offering the same deal - first one to send me a pm with an address and I will send the book, with the request that after you finish the book you offer it for someone else.

I have a copy of this, found it at Half Price Books on the Clearance shelves, before I knew it was a classic. The pictures alone sold me.
I recommend! Ortiz was a pioneer of the artisan bread renaissance in the US.

I would say it's a must-have if you're a bread cookbook collector. Good on the coffee-table to impress friends, as a wish-book to aspire to, as well as in the kitchen.
