Who is the maker if this attachment (An oat flaker)?

I have contacted the seller as it was supposedly for the KitchenAid, but it doesn't fit my Kitchenaid. And then insist they've used it with a KA - in a bird's eye they have.

I have an AEG DLX Assistent mixer (older version of the Anskarum) and it doesn't fit this either. I have also contact Wondermill as they sell attachments for Mescherschidt and they told me to contact Wondermill, which I have, but it's too soon to expect an answer, so I'm sleuthing on my own.

Here is a link to the flaker I have and I see there are adapters made, but I'm just not sure what I have and if an adapter will even work! http://healthykitchens.com/messerschmidt_grain_and_flaker_systems.html

Any ideas of who makes this type of head for attachments?

Ok, I'm pretty sure it's a bosch flaker attachment that was made for the universal mixer. Anyone have one who can verify that for me? Here's a link to one that is no longer sold, but it has that same lip looking attachment as far as I can see: https://pleasanthillgrain.com/fgm-flaker-bosch-universal-meat-grinder-r1

It is not for the Bosch Compact - that uses a hex drive.  It could be for the Universal, though I sold mine years ago and don't recall the shape of the drive mechanism.  OTOH,  most bosch accessories I have seen are stamped or labeled bosch.

This is the wondermix flaker, which has a similar shape, though I don't see the cam shaped lever that is on yours

Thanks so much for looking. I don't think it is for the wondermix as that doesn't have that little flap thing. I saw a video of it.

This is just super puzzling!!!

Ok, I "think" This explains it and now I need to figure out if it's worth getting anything to use it versus just selling it and getting what I need.

Looks like you found it.  While there is not much text, I think it is saying that if you get an adapter you can use it with the Bosch Universal .

The one mixer I DON'T have... but now that I'm looking, maybe I want THAT to be my second mixer. The Anksarum isn't going anywhere, ever as I LOVE that machine, but it's not perfect for everything.

I have the KA for Italian meringue icing (for a hobby I used to decorate cakes for family and friends, but always European style) And I pretty much hate that mixer. It's heavy, it doesn't mix as well, I can't really get my hands in there to add ingredients. It gets used once or twice a year whereas the other mixer gets used about twice a week.

Now I have this adapter to flake oats with no machine and then my thought started churning. My son has just started his first job post-college and he and his girlfriend just got an apartment. They like to cook... maybe I'll give him my KA and I'll buy a used Bosch. I can find those for about $100 and there are always parts available for them new and used. AND it seems to be a mixer that is more like how I use a mixer.

And I would have guessed that you loved you son.  ( just kidding - KA's get no love here ).  Make sure you get the right model universal, I think at one time they change the way the bowl attached to the drive.     I did just do some checking and it does look like the UM3 might work    This shows the bowl uses a similar shaped drive https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bosch-Universal-UM-3-Mixer-w-Accessories/113810434670?hash=item1a7fa16a6e:g:F3IAAOSwcjldImpJ     A few others show  an attachment that looks like the flaker in the speed bar at the bottom saying it can be run using speeds 1 - 3  https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bosch-MUM-60-40-70-Universal-Mixer-Food-Processor-READ/264417671263?epid=1101417687&hash=item3d9085785f:g:VA4AAOSw0tNdRCVM    .

Thanks so much for taking the time to sleuth for me! There is one being sold locally to me (an old universal), so I might go check out if that would work/fit the adapter. What a round-about way to get an electric flake mill, but this is still cheaper than buying a new flaker attachment or an electric flaker.
