Greetings from a Mainer who is looking for an apprenticeship

Hello everyone, I am glad to be part of this great forum!  I am an aspiring bread baker living in Maine, and I am currently looking for any leads on a good teacher who owns/works a bakery and is looking for an intern/apprentice.  I am particularly interested in working with anyone who mills their own flour.  I am also interested in working with wood-fired ovens, but that is not a necessity.  I will relocate anywhere in the USA for this opportunity.

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to all the great information that this forum provides!

Cheers, Kyle

Hello, I ran across a job posting in colorado springs a while back.  Don't know that it fits what you need,  but the guy  certainly knows his stuff with bread.  The sourdough boulangerie.

Good luck!

Thanks, BreadLee!  I was just reading a bit about his bakery and it seems that he is doing some really amazing work with a variety of grains.  Thank you very much for taking the time to share the link with me!

Cheers, Kyle

Hi, I am just now seeing your post and have a couple of suggestions if have not yet found an apprenticeship. Consider contacting LouisMill in Anchorage, KY. You can look them up on the internet. I don't know if they offer paid apprenticeships or not, but they seem to be very open to having people observe and stay to help out in their busy operation.

There is a baker in Nashville, TN,  who was seeking apprentices a while back, I don't know if he still is.  I don't think he does his own milling, though. Check out BobbyJohnHenry Bakery.

Keep us posted on your journey!
