20190104 Back to school bake; Stan's 100% Rye Swedish crispbread and more

Freshly milled coarse rye meal.

Thanks to Brad's reminder, I saved a few hundred bucks because there's no need to buy another mill.

Stan's 100% rye crispbread.

I like this one better than the 70% rye crispbread I made last year

because it bakes faster, burns less, and is crispier.

My son finished half sheet pan of crackers within an hour!

My pasta maker was very efficient in producing crackers with even-thickness/thinness.

Baked in a rush this time, so didn't make pretty shapes.

Ordered some gadgets that hopefully will shape crispbread pretty. We'll see.

Didn't I tell you I love coconut?

I ate most of the macaroons here, in a day! 

So I had to re-bake for my son.

coco- nut :-)  I love it too but the girls hate it so no coconut is allowed in anything:-(  They sure looked good enough to eat and your son must be very happy that you are a good Mom and made him a batch too!  The rye crackers have to be just a s good even though they probably lasted longer!

Found this on the internet so it would be perfect for us sugar challenged

For those who wonder like me what you actually can eat with crispbread

are my weaknesses!  I can't stop eating them!

These crackers are perfect gifts but they do look like bark??? That's why I need new gadgets to make them more presentable before sending to my friends???.

I'm very, very happy about confirming my KA grain mill is useful! Someone would be upset if I keep cluttering the house with new toys!

Glad you like the bakes, Dab! Happy Baking to you, too!

dip the tops of the macaroons in melted chocolate.  They change from marvelous to spectacular!

I have been meaning to make some crackers....maybe you will spur me on ?.  These look great and I look forward to hear about your new shaping toys soon!

I love coconut macaroons as well.  It's hard not to eat the whole tray in one sitting, especially if you do what Paul suggested!

Great to see you posting and look forward to seeing more!

Best Regards,
Ian

Nice to hear from you!  Hope your job search goes well!  I will keep you posted about the new toys.  Hopefully, they perform as advertised; then you will get to see the shaping first hand :-)

Happy Baking!

Hi! I know this is from a while back, but if you see this I was wondering if you still have a recipe for this rye crispbread. Someone else started a thread about crispbreads and it got me searching for recipes. I like the look of your thin bark-like ones.
