Thanks from a lurker

Just a short hello from a newbie. Had anyone told me six months ago that I would one day attempt to bake my own bread, I would have called them crazy. But, long story short, here I am, having built my own starter during my summer holidays in July and baking away happily.

And wow, what a learning curve! This forum has turned out to be an indispensable resource and I would like to thank you all for making it such a great place to go!

Now after these first two (or so) months of experimenting my attempts don't just taste nice, they even start to look somewhat like bread ;-) Kind of addictive...

I look forward to learning a lot more.

Glad you're a lurker no longer and looking forward to seeing your breads.

It is very addictive, isn't it!

It is indeed! In fact, I always used to prefer rye breads but now I enjoy the kneading so much that I eat a lot more wheat now...
