I was thinking about an old Fresh Lofian that I learned a lot from

gogli70 and all the great breads he posted.  he worked at bakery and baked for the Farmer's Market too.  His blog is worth reading in my book.

Here is just one of his great breads 93% whole grain ciabatta at 89% hydration. From 2013

I think I recall reading somewhere that Josh had hung his shingle on his own storefront bakery somewhere in the Pacific NW. Oregon, I believe. Yes, his breads, and advice, were and remain an inspiration.

Hi Tom, According to his website, which I just happened to check today after viewing his earlier posts on TFL, he is located in Arcata, CA, which is on the northern coast up near Humboldt. He bakes out of his home and offers a service where he makes about 5 different loaves twice a week, and people sign up in advance to buy one. There is no commercial bakery or storefront. Neat, huh?! The web page lists over 40 breads from which he rotates the selection each time, so people cannot make requests but just sign up to buy what is available. --Karen

I remember the name and I think I read his blog before I joined TFL. The Fresh Loaf is a great community and resource that I saw many great bakers and cannot remember all of them who have helped me in one way or another through this site. So many other great TFLers are missed too like codruta, Mebake, bread-bakingbassplayer, txfarmer, Shiao-Ping just to name a few. We're lucky that they left their blogs still available to us.
