Lionel Vatinet's Ciabatta - or at least my first attempt

One of my favorite books on bread is Lionel Vatinet's A Passion for Bread. Ciabatta is a favorite of mine so it only seemed natural to try my hand at his version. I also wanted to see how well my hands would handle this wet dough.

Overall I was pleased with the results of this bread. It was great when dipped in some oil and balsamic. Although I don't think I'm ready for the big leagues at all but I'm excited to keep learning and trying new things!

I have only made ciabatta once and that was in a bread baking class. I admire those who makes this. You did a great job!

i used to make ciabatta rolls all the time from a Wild Yeast blog formula. Need to re-visit it. Your crust and crumb are beautiful.

Thank you for the confidence building comments. I can’t wait to try some other recipes and post some more. Sorry for somehow double posting this “blog”. Not sure how that happened...
