Made this this morning...finally got the hang of slashes..
Love Walnut with something sweet like cranberries or currants. Compliments each other. Looks wonderful! Bet its delicious.
Especially when one is hungry! Nice job!
.. I'm not one for cranberries in my bread, but that looks fantastic.. well done!
Looks great!
I'm trying to get a similar shape and score. Do you use the batard proofing baskets?
yes I use an oval banaton. I bake in a clay romanoff. Thanks
How did the inside come out?
beautiful..sorry it was eaten before I could get a crumb shot. Flavor had a slight tange to it. Very good. Thanks
Cranberry Pecan bread a few times several years ago. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/206682/cranberry-pecan-bread/
It's a real sourdough bread and very tasty. Now I use mixed nuts instead of just pecans.
just checked out the recipe..looks fabulous. I got mine from breadtopia. Mine tends to be a very wet dough. I cut back on the waster.
will always do in a bread like this one. Very nice looking for sure. Not surprising it was gone in a flash
Well done and happy SD baking
How many grams of cranberries did you use. I would like to use the Forkish recipe for walnut sourdough but substitute cranberries.
I just eyeball the cranberries to my taste. I would say 1/2 cup
It would be for two loaves weighing about 1000 grams each. Would 1/2 cup be enough?
in a dough that has 1125 g of flour including the starter if that helps. I also have other things like nuts or wild rice added as well.
The formula makes one nice loaf..You can find recipe at Breadtopia
