theyre a great roll - theyve been given a special status by the EU so technically can only be made in Waterford...they're origin started with the Frnech in the 17th centrury with the term blaa a derivation of the French word for white (due to flour), blanc.

I’m only about 300 miles away from Waterford...lol. Can we say “close enough” ....or just call them Irish white bap...lol

Depends...they’ll kill you if you’re not from waterford and can only be blaas if made in Waterford- I’m in cork and if making the keep it top secret :)
