How to work out how much dough best fits in banneton(round)

anyone know how to work out how much dough best fits in a banneton?  Sometimes I add seeds, nuts ect, and it always seems it's too big or little for the banneton I have to hand. I can work the volume on a tin, but I don't know where to start on a sloping sided container.  any help would be appreciated.

... http://www.brotformen24.de/angebot.php?filter=bannetons, which appears to offer some guidance to prospective purchasers of bannetons. I am sure other merchandisers have guidelines of a similar nature.

Portus - thanks. What a wealth of knowledge in this group.

The page couldn't be translated into English (even though the pop-up option appeared).  Does anybody have the ability to post it in English?  My 1 year of high school German was many decades ago.  Thanks!
