New KitchenAid Toy...:-))
I have just ordered my first kitchenaid gadget...I would of loved the stand mixer but could not justify the price so went for Kenwood which is doing great for my bread making. But....needed a hand mixer so seeing as I'm soon to be a birthday girl I just ordered a lovely kitchenaid 9 speed in Red...so happy just hoping it's as great as the hype. Now have to wait a week...:-(

Happy early birthday Macette. I'm interested in the hand mixer also since my current 30+ yr old Sunbeam hand mixer is slowing down.
Please let us know how you like it. Btw, I received a Kitchenaid Artisan 5 qt stand mixer for christmas last year & it's worth every penny.

Oh Wow ! An Artisan, what a great present, that is the one I would of picked. I will definitely let you know about the hand mixer, I did think twice before ordering it quite a hefty price for a hand mixer but I hope to have it a long time. Just heard today it's on its way so should have it in a couple of days it's exciting really wish it was a red Artisan but never mind I will love the red 9 speed hand mixer I'm sure. yes it's here ! First I made a cheese cake, Wow how nice to use...have only ever had cheap handmixers before, what a difference ....the feel is lovely, starts at low speed so no splash, so very happy. Cheesecake is setting will post it later. Oh I forgot no noise, it's so quite compared to what I had, it's a yes from me for quality.
Congratulations. Can't wait to see a pic of the cheesecake.
The handheld would be perfect for items that don't need the stand mixer. My birthday is in September - I'll have to start hinting now.

Found this lovely recipe 100g of frozen berries mulched up and mixed through the cheese and cream and 175g mulched berries set with gelatine on top. All with the help of my lovely kitchenaid hand mixer....lol
oh yum. I'm salivating. Definitely need to start hinting or just buy myself a bday present.
