Eggless challah

In the last few weeks someone posted an eggless challah recipe on someone else's thread. I can't find it. I think it was linked to a commercial active dry yeast site. Help.

Thanks

Jerry

I don't know which one you mean, but have you tried this (or just google it):

Edit: another thing to search for would be "Sephardic Challah". I know Food & Wine has one (but uses an egg wash). Traditionally sephardic challot are eggless.

In the book Inside the Jewish Bakery" by Stanly Ginberg & Norman Berg, they have 5 different Challahs and one them is eggless.  I've not tried that one yet.  Of the varieties that I've tried so far I like their "Sweet and Rich Challah" best.

Thank you both. I've seen both the recipes you mention, I'm looking specifically for the one I made from TFL last week. It made a big point about using active dry yeast instead of rapid rise.

But thanks for the suggestions.
