FAE Birnbaum Bannetons

Has anyone purchased any of these lovely banneton's made in Germany? It's so refreshing to find bannetons that aren't made in China. All of these are made from wood pulp or cane. I have no idea which ones to purchase. lol. They have so many.

If you're in America, or another english speaking country, make sure you click on the English flag to change the language. It does help.

Just purchased one locally but these look very nice indeed. Half tempted to buy the triangle one. Interesting!

and bought them from Breadtopia here in the US.  I picked up some nice white cotton pinpoint oxford cloth at the local fabric store (it was a remnant and very inexpensive).  My neighbor is an accomplished seamstress and she made a couple of liners that work very nicely.  The use of liners is a personal preference as I don't like the idea of storing bannetons that have residual flour on them because of potential bug/ant issues.  Liners can be shaken out and then placed in the freezer for storage until needed.

Abe, yeah, the triangle banneton caught my eye too.

Alan, thanks for the information about breadtopia. I do know them but I didn't realize Eric was carrying any of their products. I will probably buy direct from the manufacturer using paypal. I just need to figure out which sizes to buy. :)
