We 3 gmas baked our daily breads

Hi, we have been baking, but not posting lately due to the fact that I had surgery on my right ankle, completing the ankle reconstruction project and any forseeable body restoration!!! So this past week we just made "bread" ... Barb made her Tartine bread, Helen Sourdough and I made a Buttermilk bread from a new cookbook we are cruising through "Baking with Julia"... Tomorrow we are baking our Christmas Cakes to set aside to mellow for the holidays... time to get that going... lots of fruit...we all have the same basic recipe but, as usual, we have a little different spin on the outcomes... will post results.

Here are our bread shots... glad to be back.

Barb's bread is the lead in:

Helen's Sourdough:

and finishing up with my Buttermilk bread...

If you remember when we made the Hokaido Milk bread... discovered that the dough make the absolute best cinnamon rolls...just saying...

Tis the Fruitcake Season!!! and lots of Pumpkin stuff... go for it!

Happy Baking, Barbra, Diane and Helen (birth order)

All the baking looks fantastic.  Is it holiday fruit; bread and cake time already?   I can see some, panettone,  stollen and fruit cake in your and Lucy's future!  Lucy has had her fruits soaking in bourbon in the fridge since our last February panettone bake - just waiting to get them out and put them to work.  We still have panetone in the freezer too!

Hope all is well with your surgery Diane and that you heal at light speed rather than SD winter rise times.  All the baking is well done and

Happy Baking GMA's

This morning I've been looking at some of your summertime posts. My goodness you're getting more creative every week, can't be all Lucy's doing! Love leftover panetonne for toast and bread pudding. Thinking of maybe making it in muffin tins this year. Those paper molds are so easy though and I have some left from last year. Wonder how Pandoro would be baked in a Panetonne paper form. Would miss that striking star shape though. Mmmm lots of holday decisions to come in the next three months!
