Second loaf a couple days later

Once I got my feet wet, like many, I was no longer scared of yeast! lol

So I made a loaf my wife had requested. A walnut scallion bread. I could not find a recipe for this online so I just winged it. It needs more scallions! But the walnuts are coming through great! Anyways, pretty good for my second loaf ever.  :D

I used this as the method.

If anyone has advice, feel free to let me know any mistakes. I´m here to learn! Just play nice eh?

Looks really delicious and very inviting.  Really excellent for only your second loaf :-)

Welcome to TFL by the way!

Thanks Heath!

Question for anyone willing to answer: In regards to using Walnuts or nuts in general, do you normally toast them a bit in a pan (and letting them cool) before adding to the mix? Or does it just depend on your taste and what ya like?

Nuts are often toasted to enhance flavour, but I must admit I don't always do so.  They definitely taste better toasted though :-)

This is what I thought, but better safe then sorry.  Thanks again!

Well tis not a sourdough, but better for ya then anything in the store!  :D

Not sure what to try next for flavours. Thinking of a pizza in the next couple days and might get a sourdough starter going. We shall see.

If you make a sourdough starter, you can do a sourdough pizza - my absolute favourite!

I´m going to try a normalish pizza dough first. Once I get comfy with sourdough I will for sure give that a shot! I´m sure it´s a piece of cake! er... pizza!
