Sourdough Calzone made with my same pizza sourdough recipe

This really turned out fantastic. Not sure where to post this, I also put it in the sourdough section. I also made a braided stromboli with the dough, best I ever had. Check it out!

You list the ingredients inside but no sauce inside the calzone. On the braided one it looks like there is sauce inside. Can you clarify ? I am getting out my starter to feed and make this dough NOW !  Thanks c

There is no sauce in the calzone and yes there is sauce in the stromboli. No sauce in the zone is fairly authentic and I must say as much as I LOVE sauce!!!!! THis was the best I have made and no sauce, but PLENTY on the side. Also be sure to put the ricotta on top inside the zone.

The sour dough is fantastic with this. Just fantastic!!

I used five cups flour and two cups starter, I think that is about what I did. After the rise it was enough to make three calzones. TRULY only use whole milk products when making this, makes a big differance. Hey shoot me some pics, would love to post on our site. Oh...Dont forget to score the zone.

THe braided turned out good but the braid when cooked is a fair amount of bread on top. It looks really good and is impressive for guest but when all said and done I preffer the calzones

Cant wait to see how it turns out!!!! Jim Baugh
