No more problems with food

An enterprising young man has developed a food replacement called Soylent (from soy milk and lentil flour as two main ingredients) that has all the necessary calories, minerals and vitamins required for a perfectly balanced diet. He has added some vanilla to the drink recently to give it a more pleasant taste.

As half the world's food goes to waste, a lie worth repeating here, most of it badly prepared, tastes bad, is bad for you, kills poor animals for no reason and much of it filled with pathogens and chemicals that makes many people ill, can kill them and make them glow in the dark if genetically modified - we need a cheap, perfect replacement for killer food that we can supply the world nearly free of charge and certainly so once you consider the hidden costs of real food waste and the associated medical care required to combat its horrible and deadly effects.  Only one drink per person, per meal, per day required.  No humans were used in its manufacture or production either - another plus!

I'd like to make some bread out if just to beat Ian to it :-)

all time favorites and though if aliens didn't do it we would do it to ourselves to 'take better care' of the old people and keep the costs of aging in line with what the two peoppe still working can afford.

Never thought that we would do the same thing in a vegan way while saving all the old people and animals too!  I love two'fers and 'both and' solutions the best.

what a creepy video ...

Rhinehart said. In his month of living entirely off his creation, he claimed his physique improved, his skin cleared, his hair got thicker and his dandruff disappeared.

Sadly, no mention of curing erectile dysfunction, Low T, allergies, depression or even most forms of cancer.  That's a pretty poor PR video to raise money if you ask me :-)

I think they so far missed their real calling.  They really need to take this to the government pronto - as a WIC and Food Stamp Program replacement - even though it is illegal to call it that any more.  No more waste, fraud and abuse and probably way cheaper too.

I hypothesized that the body doesn't need food itself, merely the chemicals and elements it contains.

Didn't Pollan warn about this fallacy?

... this guy sure has a very strange, dark sense of humor!

Check this out: Soylent Green (1973 movie)

Movie Info

Richard Fleischer directed this nightmarish science fiction vision of an over-populated world, based on the novel by Harry Harrison. In 2022, New York City is a town bursting at the seams with a 40-million-plus population. Food is in short supply, and most of the population's food source comes from synthetics manufactured in local factories -- the dinner selections being a choice between Soylent Red, Soylent Yellow, or Soylent Green. When William Simonson (Joseph Cotten), an upper-echelon executive in the Soylent Company, is found murdered, police detective Thorn (Charlton Heston) is sent in to investigate the case. Helping him out researching the case is Thorn's old friend Sol Roth (Edward G. Robinson, in his final film role). As they investigate the environs of a succession of mad-from-hunger New Yorkers and the luxuriously rich digs of the lucky few, Thorn uncovers the terrible truth about the real ingredients of Soylent Green.

The terrible truth? Well, ... soylent was made of human flesh from deceased human beings!!!

but I will bet the farm that real Soylent Green, as a fine fatty meat based on what I see every day, would taste way, way better than this vegan soylent slimy stuff

If not, you could always smoke the tougher cuts of human and sell it a premium price for BBQ pulled sandwiches compared to this perfect food.  We had some nice pulled pork last night as a matter of factand some tamales.  Can't do that with this Soylent Slime.
