Hobart mixer advice

Hello all,

i recently purchased a 2nd hand d300 30 qt mixer.

The bowls are too large to fit the holder/cradle. I need to determine wether the bowls are incorrect and larger than 30qts these the machine has been modified for a smaller bowl.

The only info I have to help is the width distance between the pins that the bowl rests in versus the positioning holes in the incorrect bowls.

The pins on the machine are around 39cm centre to centre.

The holes i the bowls are around 50cm centre to centre.

can anybody assist?

many thanks Aaron

The mixer is correct, the bowls are for a larger mixer.  Stainless Hobart bowls are very expensive and if yours are stainless, you should be able to trade into the bowls you need with little further expense.

Thanks jeff,

can I ask how you know this. Is the locator pin distance correct for a 30qt? Do you have one to reference?

sorry for all the queries ;)

Aaron,

I measured mine.....and if I were you, I too would want to know how I knew this.  Yes, the pins are 39cm apart.
