Cheers everyone for the kind words. Yes the starter made it just fine, I was worried there for a few days. We are still sorting through a sea of boxes and packing paper. The new oven seems to be true to temp but I will buy another thermometer and make sure it is bang on. My wife is bring the boule to her new boss tomorrow. It probably won't be dark enough for him, he is a German man and by my time in Germany they like the dark heavy bread but we shall see.
