What is the name of:

that little doodad that you put chopped up leafy spices in, and hang into the soups or stews ?

I am having another old brain hiatus.

Infuser?  Is that what you're looking for?  As you say "chopped up" I'm assuming you're not talking about a bouquet garni.

yes, of course :)   I use the prepackaged bouquet garni or just chop up my own basil, thyme, rosemary, etc.
