a lot to do with shaping......or you need to go to medical school learn to wield a scalpel :-) Looks like you are slashing with a pair of scissors.
Maybe another 15-20 minutes before going into the oven would have helped.
The two loaves (short baguettes) afterward did not have this problem because they had extra proof time then. First time shaping a boule, or a rabbit for that matter. One of the baguettes turned out well--my best to date :)
