Ars Pistorica, the Art of Breadmaking - new blog

I know quite a few posters like myself were inspired and fascinated by the postings of Ars Pistorica.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Ar's has set up a blog at the following address which will feature quite a bit of writing with comments enabled and plenty of how-to's.

arspistorica.blogspot.com

Also check out some photos of Ar's amazing bread at - arspistorica.imgur.com ... mouth watering stuff!

Everyone is welcome to drop by and leave comments - I get the feeling that Ar's is going to be busy.

Cheers,
Phil

Great news! .... and so quickly, too. :D

Thank you so much for letting us know, Phil.  Really relieved someone has been keeping in touch with him  her. (Just realised 'Ars' is a girl's name. Silly me. Sorry, Ars. :p)

Just had a quick peep. Loved the way he started the site with such  interesting and charming stories. :)

I think it's because you're accessing the site from Italy. When I go to the site, URL shows '.....blogspot.co.uk.'  Never noticed until you mentioned it,but that seems to be the way Blogspot's system works.

Thanks Phil it reads beautifully and it will likely be very informative,

Does a person need to register to participate? If so, I searched but could not find a place to do so.

You shouldn't need to register Frank ... If you have a blogging account, facebook or gmail, I think you can use those to log in and leave comments that aren't anonymous. But I am no expert on this stuff :)

cheers,
Phil

I've bookmarked the site and look forward to reading more.

"Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. But the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

Edited to wonder if some of Ars' posts have been removed from TFL, specifically the one titled "a fellow home baker seeks help."  It contained some really great questions, but appears to be missing.  Or the search box isn't working.

At least his introductory post and the fellow home baker post are gone.   I'm assuming that he deleted them on his way out.

I don't think Ar's deleted them, but I don't want to get in to a stoush over this. I know Ars has kept hold of the questions that people were asking on the posts and intends to answer them on the new blog.

Cheers,
Phil

in his intro post - since removed - he said ars pistorica is art of baking in latin.    So yes, a handle - not sure if I would call it a pseudonym.   -Varda

Phil,

Thanks for posting the link.  If AP is anything like my brother when he sets his mind to something we are going to be in for a real treat when his/her blog gets up and rolling.

Does anyone have an archive of the blog? I can only recover the first page from WayBack Machine's archiving function I really want to read all of it as it seems to have been a great resource..
