Is throwing water into a steaming pan not giving you the oven spring and shiny crust you're looking for? How about generating steam the high-tech way:
My oven doesn't face a window.
Now that I take the mini outside to bake in the summer I can take out my magnifying glass, gold nanoparticles and a distiller to make some white lightning while steaming the bread. We love 'both and towfers' of bread and booze.
I'll keep my water distiller's for now.
