Hobart N50 - request for a part in USA

Dear All,

As per my recent thread on my N50 restoration experience (http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/24332/hobart-n50-restoration-experience), I am seeking some assitance.

At some stage soon I'll need a new starter switch for my N50 - the electrical one in the rear, not the on-off switch. It's part number "00-0066085" (as per the parts diagram here:http://hobart.co.kr/manual_pdf//022.pdf). Although my current one is working OK, I've needed to bend the electrical points closer for it to start consistently, and so would like to have a new one installed prophylacitcally.

Trouble is, the local Hobart guys quote it as $287 (New Zealand Dollars), which is around $235 USD. I'm hoping / wondering if comes in a bit cheaper from the US, even if shipping is factored in. If it's not, c'est la vie.

So - can one of you please check a quote with your local Hobart USA outlet for this part, and PM me if you're interested in helping out with procuring said switch? Thanks in advance!

in the US that manufactures replacement stationary switches for Hobarts. You might want to check them out. They're called the Torq Corporation. They have a catalog of sorts.

onesharpstore.com  They've helped me with a similar problem.  Nice on the phone.

Thanks for the replies so far. Torq were prompt at replying, but don't have the N50 switch as a catalogue item. Am waiting on a reply from onesharpstore. If any of you feel the urge to contact your local USA Hobart agent for a price (& PM me if you view it as sensitive info), I'd be most grateful :)
