Halloween Bread Idea...Need input

OK, so I came up with a general recipe last night that would scare the socks off even the meanst ghoul. I need some input though.

It's going to be a zombie bread. I want to make a sourdough with a mix of AP and Whole Wheat and, the best part, I want to use squid ink as part of the hydration percent to color the loaf black and add pistachios and cranberries for color and flavor. The thing with squid ink is that it is salty so I'm trying to figure that part out.

Any comments?

squid ink for noodles which are flour and water and they don't come out too salty.  Take a look at some squid ink noodle recipes and see how much they use with how much flour as a starting point.  After you put it in, taste it and see if it can take some more ink if not black enough for you.

Are you going to shape the dough into a zombie or some other Halloween shape?  How about some orange colored dough too to pop the zombies eyes out or highlight some other feature?  Don't forget you can also slash, if making a boule, to look like an evil pumpkin face too.   I'm especially good at that.

I think we need to have a Halloween bake off at TFL !  We talked about it here

Well its looks like I will not be able to follow through with my Halloween plan. Even though I found out today they sell squid ink at the Italian market I work at. I found out today I will be deployed Tuesday so it looks as though my bread baking passion will phase into a strictly studying mode until I'm home to actually bake again. I'll have internet access so the questions will still becoming. Maybe I can even find a local to teach how to make their earthen ovens and flat bread!
