original names of leaven or sour dough starters

Does anyone have any knowledge of the term' Goddisgoode' when refering to leavens or sourdough starters. I have a single reference from the oxford english dictionary implying a blessing which most on this site would agree to I feel sure, however any more input would be gratefully received as I hope to get itinto a book comparing the physical and spiritual aspects of bread. It's called 'Good bread has God in it'. How does that immediately strike you? Feed back welcome, fellow bread enthusiasts.

Boring. How about: "Godisbread"

Goddisgoode sounds very old English, like Canterbury Tales.

Well of course that's possibly the point. After all Jesus did say he was the bread of life and we shoild eat of him to live forever! Sounds weird but worth a ponder don't you think, especially as he said if we do believe in Him then we will have eternal life!

Sounds like a good deal to me, what do you think?

I thought you wanted to bounce a title idea around.  Jesus as a good deal would be a great topic in your book. I try to avoid religious and political discussions here at Fresh Loaf. Good luck. : )

hi ,do you mean topics like this are a no no, and can i glean from your other comment that the title might have some legs especially if your suggested subject matter was included, of which I agree by the way?
