I was looking at a post not long ago about uses for discard starter. This morning I made the sourdough crepe/pancakes from that post. It was 1 cup of starter, 1/2 cup water, 1 egg. I added a little vegetable oil (I was out of butter). Necessity being the mother of invention, I used honey and peanut butter, then experimented with brown sugar for the topping (I don't have maple syrup yet at my new place). They were great! Plus it was a good use for the starter. I changed the recipe a little and added some vanilla, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.mTo do it over again, I would make it thicker with less water, or maybe milk.
