Hello

Accidentally came across this forum, and am so happy!!!  Ihave baked bread off and on for years but you all have inspired me to get more serious and expand myskills.I mostly have made bread in my bread machine, though always remove after first rise and then rise and bake in my oven.  Have never been happy with loaves in the machine. I am going to try a recipe from Rheinharts book, that I ordered , from reviews on this forum.

Anyway, happy for all the info here.

There's a ton of great information here if you spend some time exploring.  Good stuff in the handbook, video and links tabs, too.

The best place to start is by getting a scale, if you don't already have one.  Makes a world of difference!

Looking forward to seeing your future bakes.

Thanks Lindy, I do have a scale! But have not used it for bread yet.  I will try that soon.  Maybe that is why I occasionally have inconsistent results?  I have been pouring over all the posts.  Such a great forum!

Yup.  Volume = inconsistency.  Progress!

Happy baking....
