I also went to your blog and really enjoyed your sense of humor.  I can understand the short term projects.  Painting was one of mine and I havent touched a brush since I started baking bread!

I am really into this bread thing right now.  Mostly, cooking through Peter Reinhart's BBA, but I am looking at several others too.  The sourdough really amazes me...  I think I am about to drive my wife crazy, but she does enjoy the results of my experiments.  I really enjoy reading posts on this website.  It took me forever to figure out how to post a pic, but I finally got it!

Very nice boule! How did the crumb look on that loaf?  You know we gotta ask about the crumb. :o)

Here's a pic with the crumb.  It was a pretty tight crumb, but the flavor was the best of any bread I have ever baked.  Tangy and delicious!

Hey, it looks good!  I made some boules the other day that turned out to have a very tight crumb but they were so moist and flavorful.  Glad you liked that recipe.
