Mike Zakowski [the bejkr] Video ... enjoy

Found this little gem today ...

An inside look into Sonoma Valley baker Mike [the bejkr] Zakowski's process. Zakowski, of Sonoma's Artisan Bakery, is one of three members of team USA which has secured its place at the famed Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie (World Cup of Baking), which will take place in Paris in 2012. Zakowski also bakes bread out of his home shop which he sells direct-to-consumers at Sonoma Valley farmers markets.

Great! This video really suits your taste, Phil.

Too true, every community has to have its Baker, Butcher... it is how it ought be.

Thanks for the link.

to taste Mike's bread in Las Vegas when Team USA won the right to compete in the Coupe du Monde this year.  His bread is delicious, beautiful, and very inspiring to me.

And while I'm at it - "Go Team USA!" - I'm counting the days to Europain and am so excited I can hardly stand myself... (Any excuse will do for me to go to Paris :>)  )

Thanks for posting this.

He and a filmmaker are raising money to fund a documentary about his Coupe de Monde de la Boulangerie experience. They have a Kickstarter site, featured on his home page:

the opportunity to meet these film makers and they really are working hard.  However, if you make a contribution to them, insist that they include the "bread dances" that they were doing in the VIP area.  I told them that we ALL need to see them....
