Very happy for my first attempt. But I have a lot to learn after reading things on this sight!

Anyone close to Idaho?

Thank you.  That means a lot to me.  I really had no idea how to make a starter,

but I just HAD to try it.  So, I did a lot of reading.  Normal women read love stories,

I read cookbooks! HA

You should be very proud of your accomplishment! I wish my first bread had looked like that! :D

Thank you. You are very kind. I am kind of overwhelmed by all the lingo going on with bread baking on this sight.  But, it is VERY fun and exciting to create!

I really like looking at all the pictures submitted!  I hope to get as good as everyone out there.  Practice, Practice, Practice.

That looks great!  It sounds like you have the passion and that's half the battle.  It is so much fun and extremely addicting to bake bread and sourdough has an even bigger allure it seems.  Have fun, that's the main thing.  Great looking loaf!

Thanks.  The hard part of all this is having to taste everything I make.

It is hard to stop at just a small bite.........
