Did you bake this bread in a Römertopf ?   and did you bake it with a lid, and if yes, did you soak the Topf first in cold water ?

Thank you,

Anna

Vielleicht sprichst Du Deutsch ?

Terike

Thank you for telling me about the clay baker, very good to know.   What do you call your bread ?  Does it have a name ?

Also, what did you mean here ? :     4 g of yeast
                                                            In yeast +

The "In yeast +"  did that mean the starter yeast you made the day before ?

Everyone loves your breads, they are very beautiful !

Thank you,

Anna

I tried a translator and got reasonable response for all but the word:  élesztő

700 ml water

6 tbsp oil

2 tablespoons vinegar (20%)

6 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

1 kg flour 60dkg BL 55

4 dkg ?

+ the leaven

Sourdough, 1-2 days before baking.

Sourdough:

140 ml water

15 BL 55 flour

1 tbsp oil

½ teaspoon salt

2 dkg ?

AnnaInNC's picture
AnnaInNC

so 2 dkg = 20 grams

yes, you and I agree that the "yeast +" was the leaven.

Your breads look wonderful!!

What kind of yeast do you use ??  40g seems like an awful lot along with sourdough .. would American bread flour work with this?

I never saw oil put in a sourdough levain, is that common to Europe or your country?
