Trying one more time
About six months ago I ordered a Zo – 20 bread machine, along with the bread machine I ordered six premix packets. I eagerly baked my first loaf and it came out tough and with almost a burned crust. Not one of these loaves was fit to eat – heartbreak – smile. I just walked away. Yesterday I made up my mind that I was going to whip this thing. All of the packets was for one pound loaf's – and yes I did set my machine to medium on the second loaf, then lite crust over all the others. I think that if they had been 2lbs loaf's they would have come out better. So my first business is to get my recipes up to the 2lb loaf measurements.
My cooking ability is to the fact that I will burn boiling water, in other words I have to learn. The first recipe I am going to try doesn't show how large ol a loaf it will make.
1 cup of warm water
2 tablespoons of white sugar
2 1/4 teaspoon of bread machine yeast
1/4 cup of vegetable oil
2 cups of bread flour
1 teaspoon of salt
I need to know about what size of loaf this will make and any recommendation's toward making this to the proper proportions to my machine would be greatly appreciated.
I plan on getting a scale next month, so I can get more accurate measurements.
Thank you very much
