crimped round bread tins

After a long search for round crimped bread tins my daughter found a couple on E Bay. after a good scrub and a couple of goes in the dishwasher on sanititize I fugured they were OK.. ;-)))).  this in my tins plus my first bake in in them,,,,qahtan

Hi qahtan


These tins are for traditional milk breads.   Heavy protec tion to prevent over colouration.


They do produce a lovely loaf, as your photo demonstrates.


Is that an "Assistente" in the background?   Nice mixer, and very difficult to get hold of here in the UK!

Yes you are right about the mixer, I find it a super mixer, could you not get one from Sweden where they are made, I had to get mine from the other side of the


U S as they are not sold in Canada.  it is worth every penny even duty and P/P.    qahtan

Your bread looks wonderful.  Just like bread I use to buy from a bakery 15 years ago, which has closed.  I have been trying to find a recipe for this bread. Would you possibly share your recipe?

I have purchased new a four loaf pan from an Indianapolis restaurant supply company. It is the same round crimped type as shown, only a four loaf style.

I have used it for about 6 months.  Each loaf is about 1 lb.  I really like the size of the loaf.  Since this is a commercial pan, it is heavy and makes a very even baking surface.


From the late 19th century into the 20th century, Elsah Illinois had a small bakery, Keller Bakery.  One of their relatives loaned to our local Museum one of these types of pans.  I thought it was a great pan, but I could not find a new one at any local bakery supply stores.  It took a long time for me to find this one!  By the way, if you are in Elsah Illinois you might stop by the Museum and see the Keller Bakery's wonderful wood bread bowl (very unusual).
