All I want for Christmas is a 4 shelf rack oven, with steam injection. That's all I really need/want.
Here's hoping you get what you want Eric!
All I want is a dual-mode, temperature-controlled proofer that will switch from one temperature (cooling) to another temperature (warming) at a prescribed time. That's all I really want, but I cannot claim to need it.
Ha ha... Merry Christmas, Eric.
Merry Christmas Eric to you and yours!
Boy, you really don't ask for much do you? With all the not so subtle hints I've been sending Marie I'm hoping for a copy of AB&P to appear under the tree tomorrow morning.
Best Wishes and good baking for the New Year my friend!
I'd like an outdoor kitchen, complete with a wood fired oven. This really is a dream, because I live in a small apartment in New York City.
Santa knows what I want.
It begins with "sh" and ends with "eeter."
I've been oh, so good this year.
And I always leave him cookies and single malt Scotch whiskey...
A wish for happy holidays to everyone!
Hey Eric, been doing some research for you.
This is a good substitute for a small rack oven:
Or, did someone mention a wood fired oven?
And if you wanted to combine the 2 and upscale, I just thought I'd show you the one I used to use for all the organic fayre at Village Bakery. A modern wood-fired 4 rack oven!
May all your dreams come true this festive time! We're back home holed up in our lovely castle!
the wood fired oven. I'd be interested in learning more about the one pictured. Perhaps you have a link?
I made delicious Chile Verde with Red Rice for dinner last night (Mexican Christmas colors for a nice Jewish boy and his Norwegian wife and her family). The Pomegranate Margaritas were a nice pink complement. Heating up tortillas doesn't really qualify as baking, I guess.
After a few cocktails and an incredible dinner, I concluded I have everything I want.
Today I'm making Trailrunner's apple crostada for dessert after my brother-in-law cooks his goose. My version of the apple filling is laced with Pyrat Rum.
My sourdough starter is chomping at the bit for the upcoming baking.
May you all be happy what you have (especially if you have a steam oven, a sheeter and/or a wood fired oven ...or just good cocktails and family).
I could do with just such an oven, too, Eric.
i think Andy has a hidden sadistic streak - and that on Christmas!
Sounds all wonderful, Glenn, what a nice ethnic mix. We Main-ahs will just have lobster with broccolini this evening (plus Mohnstollen as dessert), and tomorrow we're invited and don't know what we'll have.
And my "bunch of flowers"? - Jan Hedh's "Miche with Sourdough".
Karin, I wasn't trying to be cruel, honestly.
Someone wanted a link; I copied it from Google images...now there's a confession!!! Try this, if it is any help at all: http://www.thefireplace.com.au/cookers.htm Seems to be Australian-based, so maybe no good. Nice looking oven
All good wishes
I am the one who asked for the link. Thank you for your reply.
me so seriously, Andy. I like to tease!
All good wishes to you, too,
I am truly sorry, ehanner. If you wrote a letter asking for that oven, it apparently got lost somehow. At least it didn't get to my work bench.
Be sure to send your letter early next year. Early requests get first attention.
We just returned from our family dinner and present exchange. Thank you so much for all the love and generosity you spread across the World. I got everything I really need, Thanks again!
Eric (ehanner)Travel safe-----
Hey this looks great for next year. TFL with our very own Santa Claus. Better get those written requests in earler next year!
Forgive me for being totally off subject on this. Every now and then during a musical performance, all the stops come out and everybody goes wild. This is one of those moments that is worth watching to the end. Enjoy this Christmas Music.
Almost enough for me to convert to Motownism!
