Hawaiian Portugese Sweet Bread
this is (finally) the recipe that appeared in the Honolulu Advertiser sometime in the early 70's
for sure it's nothing that is sold in the stores as "Hawaiian Sweet Bread"

this is the recipe for Hawaiian Sweet Bread (Pao Doce) that appeared in the Honolulu Advertiser sometime in lthe early 70's. I haven't tried to convert it to weights .. probably they did the dip and sweep method of measuring. somewhere I think I still have the destructions/recipe for Leaonards Malasadas. basically a Beignet .. and for convenience can be made with any canned biscuit/sweet roll dough. of course the original is always the best.
