Anyone going to the IBIE Show in Las Vegas?

I was wondering if anyone was going to be at the baking show. I am always on the lookout for a smallish, electric deck oven with steam that I could use in my home and would be grateful if someone could just keep their eye out for such an oven and report back if they find anything. Thanks.

I'm going.  I've got a pretty full calendar of seminars (and of course, there's the Coupe Louis LeSaffre) - but I will keep your request in mind and see what's available...

Hello Jessica,
I am feeling quite fortunate to be arriving in LV while the IBIE event is going on. Your post reminded me about the event...and to register! Thanks!
I will be arriving on the second to last day but will have some time to look around - I will take a look for you and see what info I can find.

Hello Jessica, I had the opportunity to read a post by proth5 in answer to your inquiry before I headed down to LV. Here is a link to the post in case you didn't get a chance to see it yet:

I was unexpectedly able to sign up for a seminar on the last day which limited my time to look around for ovens (sorry!). I hope the information proth5 was able to provide was helpful!  I am very interested in home ovens that have steaming capability and if I come across information on ovens that can be used in the home in future, I will try to remember to pass this information along to you.

In the meantime, recently on TFL there was this post:
http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/19676/baguette-making-video-80-hydration-dough
There is a video showing a time-lapse bake in a Rofco oven that appears to have steam capability. The poster also provided a link to the manufacturer's website:
http://www.rofco.be/ovens.html#B20 (you may need to translate the page...it's a Belgian company I think)
I checked out the site and it appears the ovens are small, portable and could be useful for home, but I couldn't find any additional specs other that what's shown on the Ovens page (I was interested in exactly how the ovens heat and steam, how widely available they may be in North America, that sort of thing).

I was taking a look at Miele ovens, and at least in the UK, they have single ovens with a feature called Moisture Plus:
http://www.miele.co.uk/ovens/help-me-decide/
I don't know if the models that have the Moisture Plus option are available in the US. Gaggenau makes an oven with steam capability too that another poster on this site was quite happy with:

I hope this information in helpful, and good luck to you with your oven search!

Thanks, breadsong. I appreciate your taking the time to address my request. The Rofco looks very interesting but they don't appear to be available here in the US. Jessica

Talked to my girlfriend last night and she said the weather was a little windy but beautiful...in the 90's.  In Vegas that's lovely dry desert weather...and the night's are even nicer, especially cooler away from strip area...the hotels give off a lot of heat ;)

Hi Sylvia, Weather was warm and some days relatively humid, if you can believe it. The evenings were perfect. We had some rain and wind while we were down there, but I love seeing a bit of weather in the desert - to me, to see rain in the desert is quite special!  All in all a great week & the IBIE show was a lot of fun.

One of my favorite times of year, especially as kids growing up, was flashflood season in Vegas.  The smells of the desert, thunderstorms, sunsets and the beautiful summer nights...the things I love most about Vegas.  Just poured there yesterday again.
