baking paper

Does anyone out there know online sites where I can order boxes of baking paper in sheets of 500 or more? I read that a few of you bought boxes with 1000 sheets for around $35 a box. Please I need your help so badly, I'm in a location where I can't get any thing like that. Please...............

I went to a local restaurant supply and bought mine there. You probably have several such places in driving distance. There's one in Louisville, KY.

As for online sources, I've had great service from these online merchants:

Ebay. Don't be put off. Most of these don't require bidding(Buy It Now), and have free shipping.

Where ever you purchase, just understand what you are buying. There a a couple of different types of "parchment" paper. The original(silicone) which is, in general, more expensive but may be more reusable. Then there is a more recent and less expensive (quilon?) "formulation".

Each type may have it's advantages and disadvantages.

I bought a box 4 years ago and it was 135 dollars for 1000 large sheets.  I hear it's more now.  Not sure where you are, but Costco has some nice stuff on a roll.  It's good value, wholesale basically, if you do the square inch break down.  Maybe you're nowheres near a Costco though ... .

Wow, that's a lot more than we'd pay for 1000 in the states.

I paid about 1/4 of what you did.

[I'm going to have the box until I'm 80 years old too.]

Check into Gordon Food Services (GFS) which serves your area.  You can buy 50 full pan sheets of parchment for about three bucks.  With the quantities you are looking for, you may be able to get even a better deal.

I get them through my local GFS and cut them in half.  A package lasts a long time and I use parchment for everything.

I order a box of 500 two days ago, but it has not yet come $44.85 (plus shipping) with a minimum on the total order of something like $50. I ordered online  at : http://www.restaurantsource.com

It says the sheets can be use several times, too.
