Ho-hum Whole Wheat bread rescued

Just finished making Peter Reinhart's whole wheat bread. I found it a bit bland and boring so I rescued it!! Check it out! http://saltandserenity.com/2010/06/13/41-whole-wheat-bread-gets-rescued/

Nice rescue. Wholewheat breads can be exciting and exceptionally delicious. I recommend you try PEter Reinhart's Wholegrain breads, where he uses a soaker and a biga, the soaker being half of the dough left at room temperature for upto 24 hrs, and then combined with the biga (pre-ferment) and baked.

You could also exponentially enhance wholgrain breads by milling your own wheats fresh.

Thanks Khalid,

I am going to give the wholegrain bread a try.  I do love wholegrain breads also.  I never thought about milling my own.  Could be fun.
