Now, this is not a bread recipe, not even a recipe using sourdough, but I felt I had to post it, as they turned out so tasty!

My version of Russian Blini, can be served with anything from caviar to chocolate spread. Full recipe on my blog here

I am celebrating St Patric's Day with a beer bread - not Guinness, but close enough

Its a slow prove bread with a lot of oven spring - hoping the taste is great too - will slice it open tonight

Finally - a Bread-o-lution post that is actually on time! This month I am making an old family favourite - Russian Boroidinsky bread that even got a stamp of approval from my Russian grandmother.

A month late, but here is it.

The best Black Pumpernickel I've ever made. Thank you @dmsnyder and @ananda for the inspiration.

The first loaf was gone in less than a day - thinly sliced with Cheddar and onion is my favourite way of eating it

I know its February already (where did the time go?) but I just finished typing up my first submission for my Bread-o-lution project.

Its very simple - one loaf a month, something new, something reasonably challenging, something good enough to share with you lovely people.

This month - sourdough cottage loaf - full recipe and pictures on my blog here

Verdict: wonky but tasty

Did I mention how much I love making sourdough? Its very frexibly, you can fix it around you schedule and it is quite quick. Yes, I said quick - not like 5 minutes quick, but it is possible to have a tasty sourdoung mixed and made in a single day,

I came up with a lovely honey and oat sourdough recipe which toasts incredibly well is delicious with lashings of butter and a drizzle of honey.

Thats a very subtle play on Bread Resolution in case you missed that :)

I am putting together a plan of new breads to try out next year - 1 bread a month - can't get any simpler than that.

Read here about my plans and please join me in baking, I would love to see your photos and hear your comments
